Our trainer workshops and courses provide industry agnostic tools and guidance for those who train regularly, be that managers, marketing and salespeople, instructors, educators, entrepreneurs, and more.

Guided Questioning

Guided questioning is one of the fundamental principles of advanced training. Why is it a good idea to let a trainee explain something to the entire class? What are the benefits of asking questions in training? Good questions provoke thought, activate logic, stir emotions, and jog memory, all of which are key to driving attention and focus to the guide and subject matter.

Group Discussions

Guidance through high-quality and efficient discussion can transform a training session into a dynamic and engaging storm of ideas, opinions, and arguments. Group discussion is the most powerful training tool in extracting the wisdom of the masses. To do so successfully requires a strong command of the Guided Questioning technique along with an acute sensitivity to what is happening in the group at all times. Discussion is one of the higher quality ways to conduct training for a mature target audience, but also very effective and important in the guidance of youth and children. In fact, in virtually every kind of training there is an element of discussion, and hence, the obvious need for instructors to master this skill.

The 80/20 Pareto Principle

The 80-20 rule, also known as the Pareto Principle, asserts that 80% of outcomes (or outputs) result from 20% of all causes (or inputs). When translated to the world of training, this principle serves as a guide to identifying the core of the curriculum, a roadmap of sorts to separate the unimportant from the important. What do we emphasize? How much weight should be allocated to the key elements of the training material? How do we convey the principal ideas of the most important issues, highlights, and main objectives, in a way that will be “forever” etched in the memory of the trainees? In this workshop, you will acquire a set of insights and tools for conveying the main objectives of training in an assertive, memorable, and effective manner.

Dealing with Interruptions

Training interruptions are familiar to any and every instructor, be that in the classroom (you know that joker!), in companies (the CEO somehow always has something to say :-)), and organizations (unless you are training Cadets in the Military perhaps). Even the most experienced trainers can encounter challenges with trainees that aren’t at the peak of their interest, concentration, or desire to learn and be present altogether. This workshop provides clear and proven tools for building effective responses to disturbances and interruptions while maintaining an authoritative and positive training environment.

Emotional Mindfulness

Our emotions strongly influence our behavior, as they do the quality of our instruction. When we are nervous, impatient, or tense, are we really guiding as well as we would like to? This workshop presents the development of emotions from an evolutionary and neuro-psychological point of view, how they impact our level of guidance, and how to leverage them to our advantage. The combination of Emotional Mindfulness and Advanced Training skills covered in this workshop will help anyone vested in the training industry develop their Educative Intelligence.

Storytelling as a means to an end

Great storytelling has always played a significant role in successful guiding since, well forever, really. In this workshop we will learn about the important role of storytelling in training, how a good story can provide context for an entire day of training, and how to maximize its impact on guidance.

Effective Delivery

Delivery techniques are the most basic and familiar training skill: how to use senses, voice, movement in space, body, hands, and eye contact in order to keep trainees in an optimal mindset, that is, attentive, alert, and concentrated. This workshop helps trainers overcome difficulties, concerns, and even fear when standing in front of an audience, providing them with tried and true delivery techniques for successful and effective training.

Demonstration and Practice Management

In practical trainings, trainers need to demonstrate certain skills followed by an exercise for the trainees to practice said skills. No small feat, to say the least. This workshop provides various principles and tools to propel your demonstration and practice management skills to a whole new level.

Personal Contact with Trainees

In this workshop we will acquire the skill of making personal contact with each and every one of your trainees - even, and perhaps especially, when the training is a one-time session. The ability to make personal contact with trainees is essential in establishing an effective, efficient, and enjoyable session. This workshop sharpens emotional and social intelligence skills.

Feedback Management

How does a training session that appears to be lost get back on track? The skill of self-reflection, both over time, and in real-time, is a critical component of an instructor's ability to self-improve. Professional guidance is the product of a guide with a constant desire for progress and improvement. As a trainer, this workshop will develop your feedback and self-feedback loops enabling you to methodically, systematically, and continuously improve your Educative Intelligence.
